It's amusing to me that I finally sign back into this journal thing, only to find an update from about a month ago, I thought I had posted. Apparently, I didn't. Talk about epic fail. So I guess I'll just post it now and add on to it.
~Well it's been an interesting couple weeks for sure. More surprises than I've ever had so close together. When I came to Chicago, I left California before the sale on my condo was final. I honestly didn't think it would sale very fast, even being so close to the beach. I'm glad I got someone who seems they'll be happy there to buy it though. Being a real estate agent, that is one of my biggest joys. Being able to give some one a place they can be happy with. A place they can make great lasting memories. Look at me getting all cheesy, okay shutting up now.
Apparently in the time we'd been here, my sister had been getting extremely home sick. So when I let her know I'd be heading back to California, she jumped at the chance to go back. I hate the thought of her being there all by herself, it drives me insane that I can't be there to watch over her. But I have to come to terms with the fact that she is an adult. I can only hope I can talk her into come back when she's ready. At least I know she's staying some where safe, that she's comfortable in. Which is the main reason why I never sold the family home. Though I got an amazing offer on it.. It's home. That's worth more than money. Maybe that's why she's having such a hard time leaving.
I think the most shocking thing was going into work Thursday morning and finding a message on my voice mail asking me to go to Ohio. It wasn't someone I knew very well, so it was most definitely weird. But who am I to say no to a friend in need? Beside it would have given me a good day or so to actually get to know him. I'm actually really glad I made the trip, it was pretty fun. Never thought Ohio would be so amusing, but with him and making faces at cars passing us on the free way. It was great. It's amazing the things you do when you're sleep deprived and trying to keep yourself awake on the road...~
Wow, I sound like an idiot up there, but oh well. Now I would love to sit here and tell you that a whole lot as gone on since then, but that would be a bold face lie. I'm not that amusing.. which can be debated.. and I'm not very interesting, again.. can be debated. Work has been crazy, which surprises me. One would think in the economy we're living in today, people wouldn't be thinking of buying homes and condos. But atlas, they have me running around like a trained monkey in powder blue dress. NO MENTAL PICTURES. Okay moving on, that just ruined that subject for me.
My sister called, she wasn't doing well and needed someone. She wasn't really adjusting to be in California alone and wasn't ready to come back to Chicago just yet. So Chuckie took it upon himself to head back out there. I hate it, now they are both too far from me. If something happens, there is nothing I can do. But it does make me feel a little bit better knowing that she's not out there on her own. That is a plus, Chuckie can take care of her and I know that. I can only pray that she decides she wants to come back very soon. I need them closer.
It has given me some more free time though.. which thinking of it that way makes me feel like a dick. Because I use to do dinner with my brother often, and since he's been gone, I've been spending a little bit of time with Ives. I have a good time with him, even if it takes him a little bit to come out of his shell sometimes. We've had some fun since going to pick him up. It was definitely one of my better decisions... and that's all I'm going to say.
I do need to get out more, that's no joke. So if any of you folks are ever bored, give me a call!
